Anti-Corruption

The duty of youth is to challenge corruption. --Kurt Cobain

A Mission of Anti-Corruption

The US Federal Government is beset with corruption. This is not a secret. It is plain as day to an objective viewer. Plenty of individuals and organizations call out corruption, but few focus on solutions.

Our organization examines and calculates practical solutions to systemic corruption. Some would say that we tilt at windmills. We disagree. We believe such kafkaesque presentation of government is simply another way for corrupt entities to discourage public participation. Public participation is critically important in our mission to reduce corruption. Our legislation shouldn't be written in the back rooms of dark-money think tanks funded by wealthy oligarchs to be pushed into law by a handful of party leaders.

Integrity begins with us. Our organization is self-funded and we do not accept outside contributions. We volunteer our time and minimize operational expenses. We are non-partisan and do not take party-line positions. Issues are evaluated within their context upon their own merits.

General Issues

Issues affecting multiple branches of government. These include items that affect government but do not necessarily originate there.

General Principles

  • Government should provide for the common prosperity for all under The Constitution.
  • Government officials must be trustworthy.
    • Felons and fraudsters should never be allowed to serve nor transact business with The Government.
  • Free speech is reserved for individuals, not organizations.
  • Paid speech is commercial speech, not free speech.
  • Officials who swear an oath to The Constitution and break it commit treason.
  • Ideologies that threaten our Democracy should not be allowed in government.
  • Officials must honestly serve The Public. You will have no other masters before us in your duty.
  • The Law applies equally to all people.
  • Security of the nation.
  • Educate and inform The Public so they can make rational election choices.
  • Governing power is reserved to the federal, state, and people only.
Rampant corruption among government officials.

Explanation

  • Corrupt officials serve personal interests rather than The Public interest (The Constitution).
  • Loss of public revenue

Strategies to fix

  • People with criminal histories of racketeering or fraud, or felony convictions must not be allowed to do business with government or hold any government office.
  • State voter guides must include a list of a candidate's criminal offenses if such offenses exist.
  • People convicted in office must resign by statute.
  • Government representatives cannot serve as an officer in any private company or on the board of any for-profit corporation for 7 years by default. Allowances made in this regard must demonstrate that they do not substantially corrupt the public interest.

Intentional misinformation from corporate media (ie. Fox News) to manipulate elections.

Explanation

  • Misinformation causes voters to choose poor candidates.
  • Money from wealthy entities suppress information important to The Public.
  • Has lead to death and violence.
  • Content creators who are paid to push specific narratives (payola) are not exercising free speech. It is an act of commercial communication subject to FCC oversight.

Strategies to fix

  • Regulate commercial speech that hurts consumers.
  • Entities can avoid this by not accepting revenue related to content.
  • Companies paid to amplify or suppress positions (including not airing anything about a newsworthy subject) must disclose such affiliation.
  • Commercial speech that quotes someone else must accurately represent that position.
    • Quotes should be made in context where possible. For example, if it is a response to a question then it should include the entire question and answer.
    • They must link to the original material so that a viewer can see it in context.

Political participation from organizations promoting policies to undermine Democracy.

Explanation

  • Organizations that promote policies to bypass democratic controls are treasonous.
  • The Heritage Foundation in Project 2025 advocates for agency leaders to ignore their duty to The Constitution and instead just do what The President says. This fundamentally opposes Democracy and is treason.
  • Soviet era socialism is an ideology incompatible with Democracy and must be disallowed.
  • A modern democratic socialism can work so long as it is compatible with and subordinate to American Democracy.

Strategies to fix:

  • Recognize organizations like The Heritage Foundation as terrorist organizations on the basis that they are attempting to unlawfully usurp control of the US government.
  • Government officials having ties to terrorist organizations should permanently disavow them or be impeached.
  • Put such organizations on trial and sue them under the RICO act.
  • Organizations that influence government must be regulated and fully open to public inspection.

The Epstein Files are a national security risk.

Explanation

  • Individuals in the files are subject to blackmail and are highly-motivated to avoid exposure.
  • Several people in positions of power have probably been blackmailed.
  • Likely a contributing factor to the Iran war.

Strategies to fix:

  • Release all files to the public
  • Identify everyone mentioned and prosecute criminals
  • Identify and prosecute the trafficking networks operating through agencies
  • Remove any statutes of limitation that may exist.

Non-stakeholders with excessive influence in government affairs.

Explanation:

  • Foreign agents bribing US officials where "bribe" is defined by the Court of Public Opinion.
  • Wealthy individuals influencing elections that are they ineligible to vote in.
  • Institutions and organizations influencing elections.
  • Outsiders are restricted to commenting on result of policy and must not engage our representatives. For example, a foreign entity may comment on the absurdity of things our government or president does, but should not contact those individuals directly.

Strategies to fix:

  • Implement a strongly verified digital identity provider for the general public based on the .gov design.
  • Any actor influencing an election must be verified through our identity provider and be represented by them.
  • Representatives who want feedback from a larger audience on a specific topic (ie. people working with autism) can create a forum for that topic.
  • Violation of election rules should be considered racketeering activity.

Redistricting with intent to favor a specific party (gerrymandering) is anti-democratic.

Explanation:

  • Producing legislative districts favorable to either party disenfranchises the other party and Independent voters -- this can be 2/3 of the population or more.
  • It grants power to political parties which is not authorized under the by the 10th amendment.
  • It produces weak and extremist legislators in The House.

Strategies to fix:

  • Independent redistricting boards. Bipartisan boards are like two wolves and three sheep voting on what's for dinner, but only the wolves get to vote.
  • Legislative districts must be drawn for the benefit of the people and simplification of governance.
  • Redistricting committees may not use party voting preference or history when considering districts.

Voting guides lack sufficient information for voters to make rational decisions.

Explanation:

  • Very little information presented for each candidate.
  • Misinformation from private media corporations skew election results.
  • Poor information delivery.

Strategies to fix:

  • Guides should contain critical information in tabular format like a nutrition label:
    • In what capacity have they previously served.
    • A list of any criminal convictions.
    • If they have even been impeached.
    • Highest level od education.
  • Guides should be online and improved to inform voters such that:
    • Voters can easily identify elections where they are eligible to vote.
    • A side-by-side table of candidates per contest for easy comparison.
    • A link to each candidate's personal website if they chose to provide one. (keyword is PERSONAL. gov site is not allowed)
    • An AI chat window that references underlying news (not opinion!) sources for voters to ask freeform questions about candidates or concepts.
    • Remind voters that political party membership does not imply any specific voting behavior. They should vote for the candidate that most expresses their personal values.

Entities with history of fraud or racketeering must not be allowed to do business with government.

Explanation:

  • Corruption is pervasive. Unchecked corruption spreads.
  • Entities convicted of such have poor moral character and cannot be trusted to serve the public.
  • Costs to the US from internal government corruption are enormous.

Strategies to fix:

  • Entities convicted of fraud are no longer allowed to do business with government.
  • Existing contracts to such entities are cancelled and a new bidder is selected.
    • There is no consideration for their costs already sunk, because there is not presumption of regularity in fraud.
  • Entities convicted of fraud against the public are listed on a public government with links to the case details. Any person wanting to do business can look up their history of fraud and racketeering.
  • This restriction survives any mergers or restructuring.
  • Officers who served at a company and knew or should have known are also restricted.
  • Restricted people who move to a controlling position in another company 'contaminate' that company, which then also restricts that company from government contracts so long as they serve that company.
  • Such entities are also restricted from participating in election campaign activities including PACs and AD campaigns.

Non-government entities having excessive influence over government officials.

Explanation:

  • Extremist organizations like The Heritage Foundation, Article 3 Project, Hillsdale College, the Federalist Society, private trusts, and other NGOs should not be allowed to directly engage with elected government officials.
  • Such organizations quite nearly enabled fascists to assert permanent control our government and the destruction of American Democracy and a state of war.
  • Foreign government influence, most notably by Israel.

Strategies to fix:

  • Only allow individuals who can vote for an individual to engage with them.
  • Require such interactions to be on public record under penalty of law.
  • Extremist organizations disallowed from direct or indirect influence over government affairs. For example, Project 2025 is a plot to usurp control of the US government. Therefore anyone directly or indirectly associated with Heritage Foundation or that project should be ejected from government positions.

Wealthy patrons have excessive influence.

Explanation:

  • Wealthy individuals distort elections through bribes and Ad campaigns.
  • Individuals allowed to affect election campaigns in districts and states where they are not represented.

Strategies to fix:

  • Disallow organizations from participation. Democracy is reserved for the people.
  • Disallow participation from individuals who cannot vote in an election.
  • Paid speech such as through ad campaigns must comply with advertising policies as would any other commercial product.
    • People can say whatever they want for free, but when it's commercial speech The Public should be protected.
    • It is not measured by the message itself, but in how the average consumer interprets it.
  • Commercial political speech making a claim about another person's speech must must link to the original in context.

Executive Branch

The executive branch is a Tyranny of Dictatorship. It is based on a cult of personality created by replacing servants to The Constitution with sycophants loyal only to the office of President. It steals the power of The People to serve a felon. The DOJ that should be prosecuting crimes is complicit in them. The FBI who should be investigating crime is investigating the president's political enemies. The end result is a president with unchecked power. This is the most dangerous of the tyrannies and cannot be tolerated.

Government officials who violate their oaths to The Constitution are traitors to The Republic. They should be put on trial and executed if found guilty.

Executive Branch Principles

  • Decentralization of power. No single individual should have excessive power in government.
  • The Law must apply equally to all people (Rule of Law)
  • Government officials must serve The Constitution (The People) and us only.
  • Government agencies must serve The Constitution (The People) and us only.
  • Corrupt officials must be purged and criminally charged with no future opportunity of pardon.
Pardon power is excessive.

Explanation:

  • People that should be jailed for decades are allowed to walk free early.
  • It is a pay for play system.
  • Abused by both parties.

Strategies to fix:

  • Limit presidential and governor pardon powers to one individual per term only.
  • Persons convicted of fraud or racketeering activities cannot be pardoned.
  • Cannot pardon people for which a conflict of interest exists. Examples would be same political party, personally worked with them in the past, communicated with them directly, etc.

Excessive presidential power over agencies.

Explanation:

  • Arbitrary presidential appointment of secretaries with secretaries having authority over an agency creates:
    • Conflict of interests between The Public and The President.
    • Allows excessive authoritarian concentration of power.

Strategies to fix:

  • Agencies having a single secretary either:
    • Move to a board for governance and the secretary becomes a voting member.
    • Divest authority to a chief executive position and the secretary becomes advisory only.
  • Secretary has no direct authority over personnel within the agency.

Presidential control of personnel in agencies that check presidential power.

Explanation:

  • President should not have direct control over agencies that can check its power.
  • President should have no power in agencies beyond appointing the secretary.

Strategies to fix:

  • Restrict president from personnel actions in agencies beyond appointment.
  • Secretaries become advisory positions only.
  • Secretaries that violate their oath to The Constitution should be automatically removed by statute.
  • Agencies that check government power are structured as independent boards similar to The Fed.
  • Agency positions under the secretary are determined by election within the agency.

Executive Orders are overpowered and must be constrained.

Explanation:

  • Executive orders allow The President too much latitude and is often abused.

Strategies to fix:

  • Executive powers should be specifically enumerated.
  • Powers within executive domain (ie. Foreign Policy) should have high freedom but only within that domain.
  • Power outside of executive realm should be limited by statute.

Department of Defense needs independent public oversight.

Explanation:

  • Grift in this area is extraordinary.
  • Corruption created a DoD that is unable to compete on a modern battlefield.
  • Limited play for non-connected entities.

Strategies to fix:

  • Government officials cannot work for a defense contractor for 7 years after leaving government.
  • Incentivize cost reduction.
  • Entities convicted of fraud can never get a security clearance nor work for a defense contractor in any capacity.
  • Eliminate vertical markets in defense.
  • DoD should publish open interoperability standards and anyone can produce products that compete within that standard.
    • Example: A missile to aircraft interface is published as an open standard. Anyone can produce a missile that meets the standard and compete in defense markets.

Secretaries who violate their oath to The Constitution should be automatically removed by statute.

Explanation:

  • Secretaries must show deference to The Public.
  • The Public should have a failsafe that automatically kicks when needed.

Strategies to fix:

  • Statute that kicks in when needed.
  • Those who swear to serve The Constitution and betray that trust are prosecuted as traitors to The United States.

Legislative Branch

The federal legislative branch is a Tyranny of Party. A political party in majority effectively controls the entire legislature. Political parties are not represented in The Constitution. Party representation violates our contract and this must be rectified. We vote for individual representatives, not a party for which we are not represented in its leadership.

Legislative branch principles

  • Political parties are not elected entities and are not authorized under The Constitution.
  • Only elected and their appointed officials are allowed power in governance.
  • Representatives must represent The People.
  • All representatives in Congress must have a voice so that their constituents are represented.
  • An informed electorate is a fundamental requirement of Democracy.
  • Decentralization of power. Concentration of power through political parties is unconstitutional.
  • Encourage public participation.
  • Suppress anti-government propaganda that undermines legitimate government.
  • Legislators must clearly understand the bills they vote on.
  • Bills should be presented to The Public in ways they can clearly understand.
  • Legislators must be measured against their performance and results made easily available to The Public.
  • Government must be held to the highest standards of integrity.
  • Representatives who attack or manipulate The Public (ie. lying) must be censured and made to apologize before The Public.
  • Political Party activity should be limited to campaigning only. They should have no part in governance.
Excessive control by majority party leadership.

Explanation:

  • Majority party controls which bills are introduced.
  • Minority parties have almost no legislative power.

Strategies to fix:

  • Allow minority parties to introduce bills.
  • Require at least one minority vote to pass bills.

Lack of transparency on bills authored and presented to Congress.

Explanation:

  • The people need to be easily able to understand and navigate the laws that bind them.

Strategies to fix:

  • A moderated wikipedia-style forum where bills get dropped.
  • Discussions about the bills that people and legislators can read.
  • Only allow discussion from voters who are directly affected by the bill if passed into law.
  • Make the system less Kafkaesque for viewers.
    • Add an AI summary of bills next to their description and allow the viewer to ask questions of it.
    • Allow users to ask questions like, "If someone wants to do X, what laws affect this?"

Lack of representation for minority party members in Congress.

Explanation:

  • All people must be represented, not just the party who "won".
  • Parties must not be represented. Only the people must be represented.
  • People represented by a minority party are taxed without representation.

Strategies to fix:

  • Require votes from from at least one minority party member to advance bills.
  • Dismantle party-based power in governance (parties are restricted to campaign activity only).

Party-line voting must be discouraged.

Explanation:

  • People expect their legislators to vote upon the merits of a bill.
  • People vote for an individual representative, not group representation by party.

Strategies to fix:

  • Make AI analysis of bills useful and easy for legislators to use.
  • Simplify analysis of bills.
  • When legislators vote, a bill must clearly show the economic and social impact
    • Economic impact should addressed by the Congressional Budget Office
    • Legislators should have to acknowledge any negative impact (fiscal or otherwise) of the bill in a popup before voting for it.
    • Legislators who vote on a bill must state their reasons for or against it, so that The Public can understand why decisions were made.

Parties should be limited to campaign activity and not be represented in Congress.

Explanation:

  • Political parties are not elected entities and are not authorized under The Constitution.

Strategies to fix:

  • Limit party activities to campaigning only.
  • Remove any official party designation from elected officials.
    • Clarification: Candidate Bob runs under the Republican Party for office and gets elected. Representative Bob does not recognize political party in his official position. When he runs for reelection, he may choose that party again or a different one.

Representatives intentionally lie to the public with impunity.

Explanation:

  • Representatives who intentionally lie create distrust in government.
  • People who lie for personal gain are scumbags.
  • Manipulating the public with misinformation is a hostile act against The People.

Strategies to fix:

  • Congress should punish government officials who like to the public.
  • Organizations (ie. corporate media outlets) who republish such information knowing it is untrue should be punished.
  • Punishment should occur whether or not it is criminal (ie. under oath)
  • Complaints of such can be raised by a vote of minority party members (some percentage of such, law nerds will calculate the right numbers)
  • Require officials to publicly admit intentional lies, and apologize to The People for their infraction.
    • Organizations who published the original must also publish the apology in full in the same forum or show at the same time block it was originally presented.

Manipulation of public opinion through insincere legislation.

Explanation:

  • Legislators may attempt to influence public opinion by introducing legislation that could never pass.
  • This infraction happens when introducing bills with broad public appeal that they have no intent to support.

Strategies to fix:

  • AI summary of bills on their chance of advancement.
  • Fatal errors that must be resolved such as Constitutional violations are clearly called out.

Judicial Branch

The judicial branch has become a "Tyranny of Law". All branches of government exist to serve The People. The Judicial Branch has perverted this to mean they serve The Law. This interpretation is fundamentally wrong, because under The Constitution they serve The People. The Law is simply a tool for enacting the General Will. Service to a party, to Wall Street, or to the office of president is treason.

Judicial Branch Principles

  • Justices and attorneys for The People must serve The People (The Constitution).
  • Judges must be of impeccable character.
  • Decentralization of power.
  • Justices cannot be allowed to legislate.
  • Challenges to laws must always be viewed in favor of The Public interest, because that is whom legislators serve.
  • Justices whom have exhibited ANY moral turpitude, including activities prior to appointment, must be subject to removal even when it is a lifetime appointment.
  • The Constitution only grants right to The People, the states, and the federal government specifically.
  • The People are humans. Only humans are recognized under The Constitution. Corporations are not humans or people, and do not get human rights without a specific grant.
  • A court with a corrupt judge should not be considered a valid court, and rulings of such courts should be considered invalid and ignored.
Lack of quality control for judicial appointments.

Explanation:

  • Partisan judges should not be allowed to serve.
  • Agents of The People must serve The People.

Strategies to fix:

  • Independent qualified non-partisan organizations rate the quality of appointments on their skill and experience.
  • Incidents of moral turpitude with justices are clearly identified and presented to The Public.
  • Attorneys disbarred in ANY state are never allowed to litigate, negotiate, judge, or in any way act ans an officer of the court in any federal case.
  • Anyone convicted of fraud or financial crimes is prohibited from federal service.
  • Government is for the benefit of The People and no one else.
  • All people must be represented equally under The Law.

Crooked judges to serve with impunity.

Explanation:

  • Judges who violate their oaths of duty to The People should be disgraced and stripped of their robes.
  • Crooked judges are legislating from the bench.

Strategies to fix:

  • Laws must always be interpreted most favorably toward The People. It cannot favor anyone else.
    • Congress serves The People. It only makes logical sense for them to create laws that serve The People. Laws must be interpreted within this context, and it would be absurd to interpret it as favorable to some other entity.
  • Violation is determined by Congress and cannot be challenged by the Judicial Branch.
  • Recognize that service to anyone other than The People is treason, and therefore a high crime under The Constitution.

The Citizens United ruling objectively causes corruption.

Explanation:

  • Citizens United ruling allows unfettered campaign spending.
  • The rationale given was that this would not cause government corruption. This is objectively wrong and easy to prove.

Strategies to fix:

  • Given that a mandatory predicate of the ruling was falsified, the ruling itself must be challenged and overturned.
  • The ruling was made in error, because it harms The People.
  • Continuing to allow this ruling is now intentional harm to The Public.

Corporations having civil rights reserved for The People is absurd.

Explanation:

  • Corporations are granted personhood for purposes of commerce.
  • The Constitution does not recognize non-people.
  • Only rights that we specifically grant to organizations are recognized.

Strategies to fix:

  • The Federal Government should explicitly enumerate the rights of non-human entities.
  • The federal government can ONLY grant such rights in the interests of enabling interstate commerce.
  • Human rights such as free speech are not granted a voice in our Democracy.
